Rotorua Aikido Club

Aikido is a Japanese martial art whose roots lie in aiki-jujutsu. The puropse of Aikido is to immobilise and redirect energy from a variety of different attacks and it can be used in many different situations in everyday life. We also practice traditional Japanese weaponry such as the bokken/katana, the tanto and the jo. Aikido can help improve self confidence and self esteem while also keeping up a good level of fitness. The Rotorua Aikido Club offers the community a safe place to train and expand their horizons through the art of Aikido.
